WSU Gets Doors Blown Off By Gonzaga
WSU vs Gonzaga - Feb 11
WSU playing in their first game since the hard fought loss against the top team in the WCC Santa Clara 96-92 in Pullman last Saturday. Hopes from the fans were fairly high considering they hung around Gonzaga for a lot of the game in Pullman last month however that was not the case as the Zags win this one 83-53.

Gonzaga was simply the better team
Gonzaga was better on every part of the game. Some may some just dominating stuff from the Zags after losing in Portland against the Pilots. The Cougs couldn't get anything going on either end of the floor with Graham Ike getting everything he wanted in the paint going for 20 points in just over 20 minutes on 8/10 from the floor grabbing 7 boards and having 3 assists. Fogle also adding 17 for the Zags on an efficient 8/11 from the floor. Grant-Foster really the only one who struggled for the Zags going 1/10 from the field in 20 minutes of play.

Cougs stats for the night some bright things to look at
From the Cougs side of the ball their leading scorer in the past couple of games Eemeli Yalaho was held scoreless shooting 0/5 from the field with 5 turnovers and a -24 +/-. Star freshman Ace Glass also couldn't get anything to go down shooting just 4/13 for 12 points and 0/5 from behind the arc. A couple bright spots for the Cougs as Jerone Morton scored 15 going 4/7 from the field and 2/3 from behind the 3-point line adding on 3 steals and 4 assists to his line. Rihards Vavers with another quiet 14 points and 6 boards as he continues to shine for the Cougs here in 2026.
